3. Electrical insulation Silicone foam has good insulation, and the silicon dioxide formed after combustion is still an insulating substance. In addition, silicone foam is not easy to scorch when the arc is discharged, because the number of carbon atoms in its economic structure is relatively small, and its reinforcing filler, white carbon black, is suitable for high-voltage working occasions.
4. Physiologically inert silicone foam surface is hydrophobic, therefore, the physical properties are almost not reduced in a humid environment, and the adhesion is poor, which can play an isolation role. And its own environmental protection, non-toxic and tasteless, harmless to human health, which also caused its excellent physiological inertia.
