Dimethyl silicone oil is used in latex products

Hits: 528 img

Silicone oil is widely used in industrial life. It plays a very important role in both our industrial production and our industrial manufacturing. The release agent is a polyorganosilane oily liquid that must be emulsified and dispersed in water before use. If used together with other isolation agents, the effect will be better. The following types are commonly used in the latex industry.

(1) Dimethyl silicone oil (also known as methyl silicone oil) has a relative density of 0.93-0.94, a freezing point of 60-65°C, a boiling point >200°C, and a refractive index of 1.39-1.4. It is a release agent for latex products.

(2) Emulsified silicone oil, a water dispersion system made of this type of silicone oil, can be directly used as a release agent for latex products. The products currently on the market are 284 and 284P. If it is combined with mica powder, lycopodium powder, etc. to make an isolation liquid, it can produce a very transparent product. Since it is non-toxic, it can be used in medical supplies that come into contact with the skin. In addition, it can also be used for defoaming, fiber waterproofing, etc.

There are many other release agents, such as zinc stearate, hydrated silicic acid, alumina, lycopodium powder, starch and soap, etc., which can be used as release agents. In foreign countries, there are often liquid isolation agents made from aqueous solutions, which can be directly used to isolate products. They are generally sold as liquids mixed with soap and other substances.
