There are various silicone products made from environmentally friendly silicone raw materials, which are widely used in food, medical, electronic appliances, industry, textile and other industries. They are all produced by machines. The difference lies in the different product molding and different processes. There are four molding methods for silicone raw materials: extrusion, molding, glue dispensing, and injection molding. The following mainly talks about the extrusion process of silicone products:
Extruded silicone products are usually formed by extruding silicone through an extrusion machine. Generally, the shape of extruded silicone is long strips and tubular shapes that can be cut at will. They are widely used in medical equipment and food machinery. The most commonly used ones are Silicone tubes, silicone sealing strips, silicone sealing rings and other silicone products.
Advantages of silicone extrusion molding:
1. The silica gel material is further mixed and plasticized through the rotation of the extruder screw, ensuring that the quality of the extruded semi-finished rubber material is denser and more uniform;
2. Wide range of applications. By changing the mouth mold, silicone rubber profiles of various cross-sectional shapes and preformed semi-finished products for use in pressing molds can be extruded;
3. The extruded products are fast and have high production efficiency, which is conducive to automated production;
4. Extrusion molding is not limited by length and can meet the needs of ultra-long products that cannot be manufactured by molding due to equipment limitations.
