Liquid silicone is the material chosen by many manufacturers for making molds, but there are some problems that are easily overlooked during the mold making process.
First, the problem of model processing. Many customers are always worried that the surface of the mold will not be smooth and will not look good. In fact, this problem has a lot to do with the smoothness of the surface of the mold. You must choose a mold with a smooth surface, or you can clean the mold before pouring glue. In this way, the surface of the mold can be smooth and clean. .
Second, there is the issue of the curing agent addition ratio. Most of the silicone masters in factories add curing agent based on experience, rather than adding it by weighing it with an electronic scale, because the proportion of curing agent directly affects the customer's operation process and the performance of the mold. Therefore, the amount of curing agent added must be weighed by an electronic scale to obtain detailed data.
Third, there is the problem of silicone bubbles. When the silicone and curing agent are mixed and stirred evenly, a large number of bubbles will be produced in the silicone. Customers always want to think that the silicone has no bubbles, but when it is actually used, bubbles will definitely occur. To completely eliminate bubbles, it can only be achieved through external deaeration using a vacuum machine. You can also eliminate a small part of the bubbles by reducing the proportion of curing agent added.
Fourth, the time to remove the silicone mold and the time to use the silicone mold. When the silicone mold is cured, it can be dismantled. To actually use the silicone mold for production, it is recommended to wait until 24 hours after the mold is cured for demoulding production.
