IOTA PDMS 47V50 - 47V1000 is a series of linear polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone oils with medium viscosity, offering a wide range of applications across various industries. These silicone oils are known for their excellent thermal stability, low surface energy, and high compressibility, making them ideal for use as heat transfer fluids, lubricants, and release agents. They are particularly effective in applications requiring temperature resistance from -50°C to +200°C, such as in thermal oils and anti-fouling agents for copiers.
In the textile industry, IOTA PDMS serves as a lubricant and thermal protector for synthetic sewing threads. It is also used as a diluent and plasticizer in room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubbers and sealants. Additionally, these silicone oils are key components in maintenance products like polishes and waxes, as well as in paint additives to prevent shrinkage, floating, and scratching. Their ability to provide water repellency makes them suitable for waterproofing treatments in powders and fibers.
With a viscosity range of 50 to 1000 mm²/s at 25°C, IOTA PDMS silicone oils are available in various packaging options, including 25 kg or 200 kg drums, 1000 kg IBCs, and 20-ton tankers. Proper storage in sealed containers at temperatures between -20°C and +50°C ensures a shelf life of one year from the production date.
