IOTA 202 can be cross-linked at low temperatures with metal salt catalysts to form a durable, water-repellent film on surfaces including rubber, textiles, glass, ceramics, paper, leather, metal, cement, and marble. It is also ideal for high-end applications such as silicone rubber treatment and general textile auxiliaries. In the construction industry, it serves as an effective anti-fouling agent for ceramics.
When used in emulsion form with methyl hydroxy silicone oil, IOTA 202 not only provides excellent water resistance but also maintains fabric breathability, enhances tear and abrasion resistance, and improves hand feel and sewability. It is also widely used as a release agent and cross-linker for paper.
