Silica gel plates are based on high-quality thin-layer chromatography silica gel, thin-layer chromatography silica gel plates, and high-performance thin-layer chromatography silica gel plates. They are made by mixing high-quality thin-layer chromatography silica gel with adhesives that are properly coated on glass substrates It has a specific pore volume, specific surface area and pore distribution. At present, the silica gel plates on the market are mainly divided into two types according to the molding process.
1. Extrude silicone plate
Extruded silicon wafers are formed by extrusion molding machines. The extruded silicon membrane, like a ribbon, can be wound together for several meters and can be cut freely.
It has the advantages of strong mobility, low cost, high output, fast production speed, free cutting length, thin thickness and uniform thickness.
Cons: Requires mold coordination later in order to cut a specific shape.
2. Molded silicone plate
The molded silicone plate is a fixed-size silicon wafer formed by high-temperature vulcanization through a silicone mold. The silicon wafer has a limited area and a fixed length and width.
Advantages: stable production, good raw material quality, high color and hardness, easy control of raw material grade, and consistent size.
Disadvantages: At the bottom of the output, the cost is 2-3 times that of extruded silicone sheets, and the thickness is not uniform.
