The IOTA LSR 3040 series is a two-component (1:1 mixing ratio), fast-curing liquid silicone rubber designed for high-performance injection molding. What sets it apart? No post-curing is required, significantly reducing production time and energy costs while maintaining outstanding mechanical properties.
Exceptional Performance, Right Out of the Mold
With a VOC content of less than 0.5%, the IOTA LSR 3040 series meets strict international standards including BfR, FDA, and RoHS. It offers excellent release properties, high tear strength (up to 40 KN/m), and elongation at break exceeding 550%, depending on the chosen hardness grade (40, 50, or 60 Shore A).
Built for Critical Applications
This series is ideal for baby care products, food contact items, sealing rings, and other injection-molded parts where hygiene, durability, and safety are essential.
Fast Curing = Higher Productivity
Cure times are remarkably short: only 90 seconds at 130°C for a 2mm section, or 45 seconds at 150°C. This allows manufacturers to increase throughput without compromising quality.
Reliable Storage & Handling
When stored below 23°C in unopened containers, shelf life is 12 months. Please avoid contact with platinum catalyst inhibitors to ensure proper curing.
