Withstand Extreme Heat – IOTA HTV 329 Series for 350°C Applications
When your application demands relentless heat resistance, the IOTA HTV 329 Series delivers reliable performance at 350°C. Engineered for high-temperature environments, this silicone rubber is ideal for compression and extrusion molding, making it a smart choice for heat-resistant seals and extruded tubes.
What sets the IOTA HTV 329 apart? Its outstanding thermal stability. After 72 hours at 300°C, the material retains mechanical strength and flexibility. For example, IOTA HTV 32940 maintains a tensile strength of 5.2 MPa and elongation of 350%, while harder grades like IOTA HTV 32970 show consistent post-aging performance.
The series offers four hardness options: 40, 50, 60, and 70 Shore A, with densities ranging from 1.14 to 1.20 g/cm³. Tensile strength reaches up to 9.5 MPa, and tear strength goes as high as 25 MPa. Whether you need flexibility for tubing or durability for sealing components, there is a grade to match your needs.
Processing is straightforward. Use 0.6% of DBPMH peroxide as the curing agent, press mold at 175°C for 5 minutes, and produce 2 mm test samples. For food contact applications, post-cure at 200°C for 4 hours.
Packaged in 20 kg cartons, the compound should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Unopened, it remains usable for one year. For best results, use within three months; beyond that, extend mixing time as needed.
Choose IOTA HTV 329 Series for applications where heat never takes a break. It combines processability, mechanical balance, and long-term thermal endurance.
