IOTA Silicone presents the IOTA LSR 3500 Series – a lineup of food-grade, addition-cure liquid silicone rubbers designed for consistent and safe mold production.
Mixed at a simple 1:1 weight ratio, these silicones are easy to prepare and pour. After thorough mixing, the material can be used for a variety of food contact molds including cake, chocolate, candy, and soap molds. It also performs well in applications like soft prosthetics, adult novelties, body forms, and padding.
One of the key advantages of this series is its heat resistance. It can withstand up to 250°C and works continuously at 200°C without losing physical properties. This makes it suitable for applications requiring post-curing or repeated exposure to moderate heat.
Select from 11 different hardness options, from super-soft 0 Shore A to firmer 60 Shore A. The material delivers tensile strength up to 4.8 MPa, tear strength up to 17 kN/m, and elongation up to 550%, depending on the grade.
With a low shrinkage rate of ≤0.1%, your molds will maintain excellent dimensional accuracy. The product has a working time of 30–40 minutes and fully cures in 4–6 hours at room temperature.
Important note: Avoid contact with tin, phosphorus, amines, chlorine, sulfur compounds, and other catalysts that may inhibit curing. Always test small quantities before full production.
For bubble-free molds, vacuum degassing is recommended, especially for hardness above 20 Shore A.
