1. Nature

Colorless transparent oil, viscosity is generally (1~5)×10-2Pa·s, relative density 0.98~1.10, refractive index 1.390~1.410, hydrogen content 0.8%~1.4%.

Under the action of alcohol and alkali, the Si-H bond is broken and hydrogen gas is released.

Under the action of platinum catalyst, the Si—H bond can undergo addition reaction with alkenes.

When the temperature is higher than 50°C, it can react with epoxy-containing compounds and has good film-forming properties.

It can be prepared by co-hydrolysis condensation of methyl dichlorosilane and trimethyl chlorosilane.

2. Application

It can be used as a waterproof treatment agent, as a release agent in the rubber and plastic industries, and as an anti-adhesive agent for paper and packaging materials.
