High-Strength Fluorosilicone Rubber – Built for Extreme Conditions
IOTA FHTV 3401H Series is a high-performance fluorosilicone elastomer designed for demanding applications requiring superior mechanical strength and exceptional fluid resistance. Based on fluorosilicone polymer blended with functional additives, this series offers outstanding resistance to fuels, solvents, oils, and extreme temperatures.
Two standard grades are available: FHTV 3461H and FHTV 3471H, with Shore A hardness of 60 and 69, and tensile strength of 11.5 MPa and 11.3 MPa, respectively. Both exhibit excellent elongation (382% and 351%) and high tear strength (29–30 kN/m).
The material also shows reliable compression set performance (10–11% at 177°C × 22h), and after heat aging at 225°C × 72h, hardness increases by only 2 points, with limited reduction in tensile strength and elongation. Volume change in Fuel C at 23°C × 72h is between 20–21%.
Recommended curing system: 0.6–1.0 part of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane. Typical curing process: first stage 170°C × 15 min, post-curing 200°C × 4 hours. Available in 20 kg cartons. Shelf life: 12 months in a cool, dry environment.
This material is ideal for aerospace, automotive, and industrial sealing solutions where high strength, heat resistance, and fuel compatibility are critical.
