The IOTA LSR 3054 Series is a two-component, addition-curing liquid silicone rubber specifically engineered for applications demanding low compression set and long-term sealing performance. Available in hardness grades from 10 to 70 Shore A, this series offers formulation flexibility for a wide range of industrial uses, including silicone tubing, gaskets, and custom molded parts.
One of the standout features of the IOTA LSR 3054 Series is its excellent rebound behavior after prolonged compression, making it an ideal material for static and dynamic sealing environments. Its low compression set ensures that seals and gaskets maintain their original shape and function even after extended use under pressure or elevated temperatures.
The material is designed for efficient processing. With a 1:1 mixing ratio by weight, it simplifies metering and mixing in automatic injection molding systems. The system cures rapidly upon heating, contributing to shorter cycle times and improved productivity. Additionally, the formulation provides excellent mold release properties, reducing downtime and helping to maintain clean tooling.
Mechanical performance remains robust across the hardness range. For example, the LSR 3054-50 grade achieves a tensile strength of 10 MPa and tear strength of 40 kN/m, while maintaining 500% elongation. Lower hardness grades, such as LSR 3054-10, provide extreme flexibility with 800% elongation, suitable for soft, pliable components.
For reliable results, it is recommended to use same-batch A and B components together and to ensure thorough mixing before processing.
