Stronger, Safer, Smarter – Silicone That Sticks to Fiberglass Like No Other
Looking for a silicone rubber that actually bonds with fiberglass fabric? Meet IOTA LSR 3M20-50 – a two-part addition-cure silicone developed specifically for high-strength flame-retardant fabrics.
Unlike common silicones, IOTA LSR 3M20-50 offers excellent thixotropy, meaning it stays where you apply it. No dripping, no running – just clean, efficient coating or dip-coating. This makes it ideal for production lines where speed and consistency matter.
What truly sets it apart is its strong adhesion to fiberglass fabrics. Many silicones struggle with glass fibers, but this formulation delivers reliable bonding without complicated primers. The result? Durable, flexible, high-strength composites.
The cured rubber achieves Shore A 50 hardness, 5.5 MPa tensile strength, 250% elongation, and 16 KN/m tear strength – tough enough for demanding applications like industrial防火布 (flame-retardant fabrics) and protective textiles.
Designed for stability and safety
This platinum-cured system uses a 1:1 mixing ratio by weight. Medium viscosity (85,500 mPa·s after mixing) allows smooth spreading while maintaining form. For coloring, simply add pigment to Component B before mixing – no catalyst interference.
Storage & handling
Store below 23°C, unopened, for up to 12 months. Available in 2 kg (Component A) and 200 kg (Component B) packaging.
Upgrade your coated fabric production with a silicone that combines strength, adhesion, and process reliability.
