IOTA FLSR3400 Series – Injection-Grade Fluorosilicone with Superior Oil, Fuel, and Heat Resistance
In high-performance sealing and damping applications, conventional elastomers often fail when exposed to aggressive media or thermal cycling. The IOTA FLSR3400 Series liquid fluorosilicone rubber changes that equation. Built on a noble-metal-catalyzed addition-cure chemistry, this A/B two-part system offers rapid injection molding, outstanding physical properties, and unmatched resistance to oils, fuels, and elevated temperatures – all in one reliable material family.
Performance that speaks for itself:
Three hardness options – 30, 40, and 62 Shore A (post-cured) allow designers to tailor stiffness for O-rings, diaphragms, or valve seals.
Mechanical robustness – tensile strengths of 7–10 MPa and tear strengths of 12–13 kN/m, combined with elongations of 180–340%, deliver tough, flexible parts.
Heat-aged stability – compression set after 200°C×4h post-curing drops to 5–7%, ensuring that seals maintain their clamping force even after prolonged heat exposure.
Chemical resistance benchmark – after 168 hours in IRM903 at 150°C, volume swell is a minimal 3%; in Fuel C at 60°C, swell is 23%; in FAM B at 60°C, 29% – making it an ideal choice for fuel-system components and under-hood environments.
Processing is straightforward: mix A and B at a 1:1 ratio using a three-roll mill or planetary mixer, degas thoroughly, then inject or compression-mold. For injection-molding platforms, follow standard curing protocols; typical conditions are 120°C×10 min for initial cure, followed by a post-cure at 200°C×4h to achieve full property development. The viscosities (A-side: 440–820 Pa·s; B-side: 400–770 Pa·s) are optimized for smooth material flow without sacrificing green strength.
Supplied in 20 kg cartons with a 12-month shelf life (unopened, in cool dry conditions), the IOTA FLSR3400 Series helps you reduce inventory complexity while maintaining high-quality output. To preserve cure kinetics, keep the compound away from amines, phosphines, sulfur donors, and metal soaps.
