High-Strength Fluorosilicone – Precision, Durability, and Process Consistency
Precision engineering calls for predictable material behaviour, and the IOTA FHTV 3401H Series delivers exactly that. This premium fluorosilicone compound is designed for manufacturers who require consistent processability alongside outstanding final-part performance. Available in two controlled hardness options – 60 and 69 Shore A – it caters to both softer, vibration-damping applications and firmer, high-load-bearing designs.
What makes this series truly distinctive is its balanced property profile. Tensile strength exceeds 11 MPa across both grades, while elongation remains above 350 %, offering a rare combination of strength and flexibility. Tear strength is robust at 29–30 kN/m, providing resistance to edge damage during assembly. More importantly, the material’s compression set after 177 °C/22 h is only 10–11 %, which translates directly to longer service intervals and reduced maintenance costs for end-users.
Heat ageing at 225 °C for 72 hours shows that the compound retains its utility even under extreme thermal cycling – tensile retention above 76 % and elongation retention above 81 % confirm its suitability for under-hood and industrial oven environments. Its Fuel C swell of 20–21 % ensures reliable performance in contact with aggressive fuels and solvents. For processing, we advise using 0.6–1.0 part of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane, with a post-cure step to fully develop the crosslink network. The product is supplied in 20 kg cartons and enjoys a 12-month shelf life in cool, dry storage. Choose IOTA FHTV 3401H for your next project – where consistent quality meets extreme endurance.
