Unlock Extreme Performance with IOTA FHTV 3502 – The Adhesive Fluorosilicone Compound That Binds Where Others Fail
In demanding environments where oil, fuel, and extreme temperatures quickly degrade standard elastomers, the IOTA FHTV 3502 series stands apart. This adhesive-grade fluorosilicone compound is engineered for injection and compression molding, and when paired with a specialized primer, it forms a durable chemical bond to metals, aramid fibers, and other rigid substrates. No more mechanical fastening or peeling concerns – just reliable, long-lasting adhesion that simplifies design and improves seal integrity.
The technical data speaks volumes. With three hardness options – FHTV3552 (52 Shore A), FHTV3562 (61 Shore A), and FHTV3572 (69 Shore A) – you can precisely match mechanical requirements. Tensile strengths hover around 9 MPa, while tear strength reaches 18 KN/m, ensuring robustness under cyclic stress. More importantly, compression set values are remarkably low: just 7–10% after 22 hours at 177°C. That means gaskets and seals maintain their original shape, reducing leak risks and maintenance intervals even after prolonged compression.
Fluid resistance is another hallmark. Immersed in Fuel C for 72 hours at 23°C, volume swell stays at a controlled 21–22%, far superior to conventional fluorocarbon or silicone rubbers. And for high-temperature service, the compound retains functionality after 72 hours at 225°C, with hardness increases of only 2–3 points and tensile/elongation changes within –17% to –24%. Add a heat-stabilizer, and this material endures where others become brittle or sticky.
Processing is straightforward: use 0.4–0.7 parts of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane (Double 25) as the curing agent, with a primary cure of 170°C × 15 min and a post-cure of 200°C × 4 hours. The result? A consistent, bubble-free vulcanizate with excellent resilience (31–35% rebound) and predictable shrinkage. Packaged in 20 kg cartons and stable for 12 months in cool, dry storage, the IOTA FHTV 3502 series is ready for your most challenging automotive, aerospace, or industrial sealing applications. Upgrade your designs – choose adhesion, choose durability, choose IOTA.
