One-Step Curing, Zero Compromise – IOTA LSR 3620 Series for High-Efficiency Silicone Molding
The IOTA LSR 3620 series redefines liquid silicone rubber performance by eliminating the need for a secondary post-cure. Designed as a two-component, 1:1 mix ratio system, this platinum-catalyzed material delivers fast thermal curing—reaching full crosslinking in just 90 seconds at 130°C or 45 seconds at 150°C for a 2mm section. This means shorter cycle times, lower energy consumption, and a streamlined production line without sacrificing part quality.
What sets the 3620 series apart is its exceptionally low VOC content (<0.5%) and compliance with BfR, FDA, and RoHS standards, making it a trusted choice for food-contact articles, baby care products, and sealing applications. The cured elastomer exhibits outstanding mechanical properties: tensile strengths range from 7 to 10 MPa, elongation at break from 340% to 650%, and tear strengths up to 40 kN/m, depending on the selected hardness grade (25 to 70 Shore A). Whether you need a soft, flexible grip or a tough, abrasion-resistant seal, there is a grade—from LSR 3620 to 3670—matched to your exact durometer requirement.
Processing is straightforward and reliable. The A and B components are supplied in 200 kg drums with matched viscosities (250–380 Pa·s at 23°C) to ensure consistent metering and mixing. For optimal flow and homogeneity, simply stir thoroughly before use and maintain storage below 23°C in unopened containers for up to 12 months. Note that the platinum catalyst is in the A component, so avoid contact with amines, sulfur, or tin compounds to prevent inhibition. With excellent mold release and transparent finished parts, the IOTA LSR 3620 series is the practical, high-performance solution for injection molding operations seeking both speed and regulatory peace of mind.
