With hardness levels of 60 and 69 Shore A, tensile strengths above 11.3 MPa, and tear strengths reaching 30 kN/m, these materials provide the toughness required for demanding sealing and damping components. Meanwhile, elongation at break values of 351% and 382% ensure sufficient flexibility for dynamic applications.

Where this material truly shines is in harsh media exposure. After 72 hours in Fuel C at 23°C, volume swell remains below 21%, confirming excellent resistance to fuels, oils, and solvents. Thermal stability is equally impressive: after 72 hours at 225°C, hardness changes are minimal (just +2 points), with tensile and elongation retention well within acceptable ranges. With a compression set of only 10–11% (177°C × 22h), long-term sealing reliability is assured—even under sustained heat and pressure.

Processing is straightforward, with a recommended peroxide curing system (0.6–1.0 phr of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane). A two-stage cure—170°C × 15 min plus post-cure at 200°C × 4h—unlocks full property potential. For elevated-temperature service above 200°C, the addition of a thermal stabilizer is recommended to maximize longevity.

Packaged in convenient 20 kg cartons, the FHTV 3401H Series has a 12-month shelf life when stored in a cool, dry environment. Note that the compound exhibits cold flow, so proper handling and sealed packaging are advised.
