Silicone (foam) gaskets can be divided into two types: silicone gaskets and silicone foam gaskets [distinguished by whether the material is foamed]
Through the processing technology of the product, it can be divided into two types: die-cut silicone (foam) gasket and molded silicone (foam) gasket.
The advantages of die-cut gaskets are high production capacity, high punching accuracy, punchable range (1MM~25MM thickness), and relatively cheap mold costs. The disadvantage is that it can only punch products with cross-sections on the same plane; the advantage of molded gaskets is that products with steps can be produced, no foaming holes can be seen in the cross-section, and the air-tightness is good. The disadvantage is that the mold cost is high, and the production capacity is low and the unit price of the product is high.
How is the product produced?
Die-cut silicone (foam) gaskets are usually die-cut from the corresponding sheet. Compression-molded silicone (foam) gaskets produced on a flat vulcanizer.
In order to facilitate the installation and fixation of the extended products during use, the silicone (foam) gasket can be equipped with self-adhesive on one side, and different temperature-resistant adhesives can be selected according to the temperature of the customer's use environment.
