5 reasons and solutions for non-curing silicone.
Reason one:
Adding too much curing agent or adding too little curing agent during operation will affect the curing of the silicone in either case.
Solution: Add the curing agent according to the ratio specified in the instruction manual, and be sure to see whether it is by volume or by weight.
Reason two:
In the process of adding the curing agent, different types of curing agents are mixed. For example, the addition type mold glue will not react when it comes into contact with the tin component in the condensation type silica gel. So different models
Curing agents cannot be mixed.
Solution: Select the corresponding curing agent according to the product type, including operating tools, which must also be classified and cannot be mixed.
Reason three:
Silicone and hardener are not mixed evenly. Inhomogeneous mixing will cause the glue to partially cure or not cure.
Solution: Stir vigorously to mix the silicone and curing agent evenly.
Reason four:
The surface in contact with the master mold is not completely dry, and the other parts are completely cured.
Solution: Put a layer of isolation film on the surface of the master mold to prevent the components in the master mold that are not conducive to the curing of silica gel from contacting the mold silica gel.
Five reasons:
When the temperature is lower than 0 degrees during operation, the silica gel and the curing agent will not react, so the temperature is too low and the silica gel will not be cured.
Solution: Curing at a suitable temperature, the general temperature is 20-30 degrees Celsius is the most ideal mold silicone curing temperature.
