High-Performance Silicone Oils for Industrial Use
IOTA PDMS 47V50 - 47V1000 silicone oils are high-performance linear polydimethylsiloxane fluids designed for industrial applications. These oils exhibit exceptional thermal and oxidative stability, making them suitable for use as heat transfer fluids in environments with temperatures ranging from -50°C to +200°C. Their low surface energy and high compressibility also make them ideal for use in release agents for plastic and metal casting.
In the manufacturing sector, IOTA PDMS silicone oils are used as lubricants for elastomers and plastics, ensuring smooth operation and reduced wear. They are also employed as surface active agents in styrene-butadiene foam production and as hardness-reducing agents in high-consistency rubber (HCR) applications. Additionally, these oils are used in the production of defoamers and as waterproofing agents for glass fibers and powders.
Available in viscosities ranging from 50 to 1000 mm²/s at 25°C, IOTA PDMS silicone oils are packaged in 25 kg or 200 kg drums, 1000 kg IBCs, or 20-ton tankers. They should be stored in sealed containers at temperatures between -20°C and +50°C, with a standard shelf life of one year from the production date.
