Key Properties
The IOTA1100 Series is characterized by its clear to light yellow oily liquid appearance. It has a density ranging from 0.950 to 0.970 g/cm³ at 25°C and a refractive index between 1.400 and 1.416. The viscosity varies significantly across the different grades, from 13-18 mm²/s for IOTA1100-1k to 12000-20000 mm²/s for IOTA1100-50k. The product has a flash point above 150°C and a Pt-Co color scale of ≤50. The amine content also varies by grade, ranging from 2.0±0.05 mmol/g for IOTA1100-1k to 0.038-0.042 mmol/g for IOTA1100-50k.
Applications
The IOTA1100 Series is highly versatile due to its strong amino reactivity. It is widely used for the copolymer modification of organic polymers such as polyurethane, epoxy resin, polyamide, and polyimide. Additionally, it serves as an excellent softening and smoothing agent for fibers and a conditioning agent for hair care products.
Packaging and Storage
The product is packaged in internally coated iron drums, with net weights of 20KG or 200KG per drum. To maintain its quality, the IOTA1100 Series should be stored in a sealed container at room temperature. It is sensitive to acids, bases, and carbon dioxide, and can oxidize and turn yellow when exposed to air. The product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production when stored properly.
