In liquid silicone rubber molding, post-curing is often a bottleneck. The IOTA LSR 3040 series eliminates this step entirely. This high-bonding, fast-curing LSR delivers excellent adhesion and physical properties without the need for secondary heat treatment.
Technical Highlights
Available in three hardness grades – 40, 50, and 60 Shore A – the 3040 series offers tensile strength up to 10 MPa and elongation up to 580%. Mixed viscosity at 23°C ranges from 300 to 350 Pa·s, ensuring smooth injection even for complex parts.
Global Compliance
Fully compliant with BfR, FDA, and RoHS standards, this material is safe for direct and indirect food contact, as well as baby care products. It contains no harmful solvents, with VOC below 0.5%.
Easy Processing
The A and B components are delivered in a 1:1 weight ratio. A component contains the platinum catalyst, so care should be taken to avoid contamination with catalyst poisons. For best results, use components from the same batch number and mix thoroughly before use.
Proven Stability
Unopened pails stored below 23°C remain stable for 12 months. Even beyond labeled shelf life, the material may still be usable after passing relevant performance tests.
