Our IOTA-9740, IOTA-9750, IOTA-9760, and IOTA-9770 grades deliver consistent hardness from 40 to 70 Shore A, with tensile strength up to 5.5 MPa and elongation from 700% down to 250% depending on the grade. Tear strength stays stable at 15 kN/m across all types.
What makes them stand out? Excellent resistance to both ASTM #1 and IRM903 oils. After 70 hours in IRM903 oil at 150°C, hardness change is only -16 to -18, tensile strength change -35%, elongation change -20%, and volume change stays within 35-36%. This means less degradation and more reliable sealing in real-world applications.
These materials are ideal for manufacturing oil-resistant parts such as gaskets, O-rings, seals, and industrial components used in automotive, hydraulic, and machinery systems. The cure system is tested with 1% bis(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl) peroxide (50% active) at 175°C for 5 minutes under 15 MPa.
