Reliable Protection for Sensitive Electronics – IOTA GNJ 3128H Phenyl Silicone Gel
The IOTA GNJ 3128H is a two-part addition-cure phenyl silicone gel developed for applications requiring consistent protection and optical clarity. It is especially suitable for moisture-proofing electronic components, coating transistors and integrated circuits, and serving as an elastic adhesive for optical instruments.
When mixed at a 1:1 weight ratio at room temperature (22°C, 50% RH), the gel offers a practical operation window of up to 240 minutes and fully cures within 24 hours. Heating can be applied to accelerate the curing process when faster production cycles are needed.
After curing, the material remains transparent with light transmittance of ≥93%, supporting inspection and optical performance. It maintains elasticity across a wide service temperature range from -59°C to 200°C, helping to reduce mechanical stress on sensitive parts. The Shore A00 hardness is 25±5, and density is 0.98 g/ml, with volume resistivity exceeding 1.0×10¹⁴ Ω·cm.
The gel cures without by-products, contains no solvents, and shows low volatile content, enabling deep-section curing. It also resists yellowing and aging, contributing to long-term reliability in sealed assemblies. Unused portions should be kept sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from contaminants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, tin, lead, or mercury compounds, which may interfere with proper curing.
Available in 15 kg or 5 kg containers per component. The product is non-hazardous and can be transported as general chemicals with a shelf life of six months under recommended storage conditions.
