Reliable Performance at High Temperatures – IOTA HTV 329 Silicone Rubber
In high-temperature industrial environments, material failure is not an option. The IOTA HTV 329 Series of silicone rubber is specifically designed to perform under continuous heat exposure up to 350°C. This product family includes four grades—32940, 32950, 32960, and 32970—each offering a balanced combination of hardness, strength, and elongation.
With Shore A hardness from 40 to 70, density from 1.14 to 1.20 g/cm³, and tensile strength up to 9.5 MPa, these materials support demanding applications such as high-temperature sealing and heat-resistant extruded tubing. Elongation at break ranges from 400% to 700%, allowing flexibility in design and assembly.
Long-term heat aging tests confirm reliability. After 300°C for 72 hours, the material retains tensile strength above 4.9 MPa and elongation from 180% to 350%, depending on the grade. Hardness changes remain minimal, ensuring dimensional stability in service.
The compound processes well with compression or extrusion methods. A typical vulcanization uses 0.6% DBPMH peroxide at 175°C for 5 minutes. For food contact parts, a 4-hour post-cure at 200°C is recommended.
Store unopened boxes in a dry, shaded area at room temperature. The shelf life is one year from production. If stored longer than three months, additional mixing time helps restore processability.
For engineers and manufacturers seeking dependable high-temperature silicone rubber without complex reformulation, the IOTA HTV 329 Series offers a proven solution. Contact the supplier for sample validation and technical support.
