Self-Lubricating Fumed Silicone Rubber for Reliable Sealing Applications
When your sealing components demand both flexibility and consistent surface lubrication, the IOTA-HTV 332 Series delivers. Designed specifically for products like sealing plugs and gaskets, this self-lubricating silicone rubber offers excellent oil-bleeding performance, with oil content exceeding 7% – ensuring long-lasting surface slipperiness without external greasing.
Available in hardness grades from 30 to 70 Shore A (33230 to 33270), the series provides stable processability and mechanical strength. With tensile strength up to 10 MPa and elongation at break reaching 850%, it adapts well to complex mold geometries while maintaining part integrity.
The material is a fumed (gas-phase) silicone rubber, offering cleaner purity and consistent cure response. Using 1% of 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane (50% active), it cures fully at 175°C in 5 minutes under 15 MPa, producing 2 mm test specimens with high reproducibility. Typical tear strength ranges from 20 to 30 kN/m, density from 1.12 to 1.21 g/cm³, and plasticity values from 140 to 240 – suitable for compression molding or transfer molding processes.
Why choose IOTA-HTV 332 Series?
Built-in lubrication reduces assembly friction and wear
No post-application grease or coating required
Meets modern material safety benchmarks (RoHS, REACH)
Consistent batch-to-batch performance with high filler distribution
Packaged in 20 kg cartons, the material remains stable for 18 months when stored unopened at or below 50°C. For sealing applications where low friction and reliable compression set matter, the IOTA-HTV 332 Series offers a proven, production-ready self-lubricating solution.
