Consistent Oil-Bleeding Performance for High-Volume Sealing Production
Manufacturers of silicone sealing components face a common challenge: how to achieve reliable surface lubrication without secondary operations. The IOTA-HTV 332 Series solves this with an integrated self-lubricating design, releasing a controlled oil film (≥7% oil content) during service – ideal for dynamic or mating sealing surfaces.
Built on fumed silica reinforcement, the series includes five standard hardness grades: 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 Shore A. Each grade balances mechanical strength with elongation and tear resistance. For example, IOTA-HTV 33250 delivers 10 MPa tensile strength, 700% elongation, and 30 kN/m tear strength – forgiving enough for thin-wall sections but strong enough for repeated compression cycles.
Curing is straightforward: add 1% of a 50% active peroxide (2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane) and press cure at 175°C for 5 minutes at 15 MPa. The resulting vulcanizate shows good density consistency (1.12–1.21 g/cm³) and plasticity values aligned with automated feeding systems.
Key advantages for production environments:
Reduces reject rates caused by mold sticking
Eliminates spray or dip lubrication steps
Compatible with standard peroxide cure systems
18-month shelf life in original unopened packaging below 50°C
All grades are produced under controlled conditions and are REACH/RoHS compliant, supporting global supply chain requirements. Whether producing industrial sealing plugs, grommets, or dust-proof seals, the IOTA-HTV 332 Series offers dependable self-lubricating performance with a clean process profile. Available in 20 kg cartons for easy workshop handling.
