Strong Bonding, Smooth Processing – IOTA M20-40T for Fabric Coating
For manufacturers of high-strength fire-resistant fabrics, IOTA M20-40T offers a silicone rubber solution that combines excellent flow with reliable mechanical properties. This addition-cure system is designed for dip coating and spreading processes, providing good penetration and consistent coverage on glass fiber fabrics.
The cured silicone exhibits well-balanced performance: tensile strength of 3.5 MPa, elongation at break of 250%, tear strength of 13 KN/m, and Shore A hardness of 40. These features make it suitable for applications where both flexibility and strength are required.
Mixing is straightforward with a weight ratio of A:B = 1:10. The viscosity of the mixed system at 23°C is about 18,000 mPa·s. Part A is clear and has a viscosity of 1,000 mPa·s, while Part B appears translucent or slightly yellowish with a viscosity of 25,000 mPa·s. The final cured product is translucent.
The platinum catalyst is contained in Part A. To avoid curing interference, keep the material away from potential contaminants. If coloring is needed, always add pigment to Part B first, blend well, then mix with Part A.
Packaging: 2 kg for Part A and 200 kg for Part B. Shelf life is 12 months when stored below 23°C in original, unopened containers. With its strong adhesion to glass fiber and smooth processing characteristics, IOTA M20-40T is a dependable choice for fireproof fabric production lines.
