No Primer, No Problem – Self-Bonding High-Transparency LSR for PC Sealing
Struggling with adhesion between liquid silicone rubber and polycarbonate? IOTA LSR 3050 is here to simplify your production line. This two-component, high-transparency liquid silicone rubber bonds directly to PC without primers or surface treatments – saving time and reducing process complexity.
Designed for precision applications, IOTA LSR 3050 offers outstanding self-adhesion to PC components, making it an excellent choice for swim goggle seals, smartwatch back covers, phone case overmolding, and SIM card tray sealing. Its high transparency ensures optical clarity, while the fast thermal curing boosts manufacturing efficiency.
But adhesion isn’t everything. This product also features excellent mold release properties, reducing part damage and improving cycle consistency. With a 1:1 mixing ratio by weight and a viscosity of approximately 350 Pa·s (mixed at 23°C), it flows well into fine cavities without excessive tool pressure.
Cured mechanical performance is reliable: Shore A 50 hardness, tensile strength above 10 MPa, elongation over 550%, and tear strength of 35 kN/m. Density is 1.13 g/cm³. Storage is stable for 12 months below 23°C in unopened containers.
For PC sealing applications requiring clarity, bonding, and strength – IOTA LSR 3050 gets the job done. No primer. No extra steps.
