The IOTA FLSR3400 series is a two-component liquid fluorosilicone rubber specifically formulated for injection molding and automated dispensing. With A and B components supplied in a 1:1 mass ratio, mixing is straightforward—whether using a three-roll mill, planetary mixer, or direct injection molding equipment. The platinum addition-cure mechanism ensures rapid crosslinking at moderate temperatures, enabling short cycle times without sacrificing final part quality.
Each grade—FLSR3430, FLSR3440, and FLSR3460—exhibits well-controlled viscosities ranging from 400 to 820 Pa·s (at 10 s⁻¹ shear rate), which ensures excellent flow into complex cavity geometries while minimizing flash and air entrapment. After mixing and degassing, the compound can be molded at 120 °C in just 10 minutes for primary curing, followed by an optional post-cure at 200 °C for 4 hours to unlock the full mechanical potential. This two-step schedule gives processors flexibility: run high-volume production with the primary cure, or add post-curing for demanding applications where compression set and heat resistance are paramount.
The material is supplied in 20 kg cartons, and when stored in a cool, dry environment away from nitrogen-, sulfur-, phosphorus-, or heavy-metal-containing compounds, the original shelf life is 12 months. This stable pot life and predictable cure kinetics reduce scrap and rework, improving overall yield.
