Designed specifically for coating and impregnation processes, this liquid silicone rubber range combines fast curing, high tensile strength, and excellent adhesion – making it the preferred material for demanding industrial applications.
The series includes four grades – IOTA 3425, 3430, 3440, and 3450 – offering Shore A hardness from 26 to 52. This flexibility allows manufacturers to select the exact mechanical profile for their end product, whether it requires soft flexibility or rigid durability. With tensile strengths reaching up to 8.0 MPa and tear strength up to 25 kN/m, these materials withstand repeated mechanical stress without delamination or failure.
Processing efficiency is built into every batch. Both A and B components are pre-filtered and degassed, reducing preparation time. The system supports multiple mix ratios (1:1 or 2:100), and we strongly recommend using metering mixing equipment to maintain consistency and avoid air entrapment. Even when bubbles occur, vacuum degassing resolves the issue quickly. Once mixed, the compound remains workable for 48 hours at 25°C, offering ample pot life for large-scale production runs.
Curing occurs rapidly at elevated temperatures, enabling high-throughput continuous coating lines. However, care should be taken to avoid contact with amines, sulfur, or tin compounds, as these may inhibit vulcanization. For storage, keep the material in original, unopened containers below 32°C – shelf life is 9 months from manufacture.
Packaging options include 200 kg steel drums or 20 kg plastic pails, accommodating both bulk industrial use and smaller batch operations. Cleaning uncured silicone is straightforward with hydrocarbon solvents, while polar solvents like ketones or alcohols are not effective.
